Embark on an adventure with Kate Spade New York

As I was browsing Facebook the other day, I stumbled upon a contest that Kate Spade and Polyvore have teamed up on.  Contestants are to start with one of six statements that they supply you with and build an inspiration board around the statement using three or more Kate Spade images and anything else that inspires you.  For those of you that don't know what Polyvore is, its a really neat tool that is great for bloggers who are not exactly well seasoned graphic designers.  It gives you the ability to create a collage and piece together images quicker than Photoshop.

Here are two sets that I created inspired by the ever so playful and sophisticated, Kate Spade.  I think they are pretty cute :)  What do you think?  I had so much fun doing this so don't really care if I win, but the prizes are pretty great too...three lucky winners will be chosen by Kate Spade New York creative director, Deborah Lloyd, to embark with a friend on a perfectly curated trip to Chicago, San Francisco or New York. Winners will also receive a $1000 gift card to spend at one of their shops!  Sounds pretty fab to me!!

Hello Fall - Its Me, Kristen. Where are You??

I don't know about you, but I decided last weekend when the temp hit almost 110 on the heat index that I was so over Summer and way ready for Fall!  When I think of Fall, so many wonderful things come to mind - warm comfy clothes, crisp chilly air, apple cider, crinkly leaves.  Sigh...it can't come any sooner for me! 

Here is a little collection of goodies that I must have to complete the look I am going for this Fall.  Military/girl scouty style jackets and boots, girly/biker details, berry lips and sequins.  It all sounds so yummy!  What look are you going to be sporting this Fall?

Happy Weekend!

I started the weekend off right this morning with a delicious homemade latte in my new favorite mug I purchased at Urban Outfitters.  Isn't is so cute?!

I have a few fun plans for the rest of the weekend which include:

1. Drinks after work with my bestie, Tyler, at Holman and Finch.

2. The Peachtree Farmers Market tomorrow with my girl Sara to watch a cooking demo by Chef Ford Fry of JCT Kitchen here in Atlanta.  Hope I get to sample the fare as well!!

3. Hit up a few fun stores I have been dying to go to lately which include: Rhinoceros Boutique and Redefined Home Boutique. And of course - the boutique warehouse sale!!  I am totally going to try not to buy anything...yeah right!

4. A Yummy Brunch on Sunday at Murphy's in the Highlands to celebrate the birth of my beautiful friend Sara.

Mad about Mad Men

Ok, I have to admit that I have not been an avid follower of the hit AMC show, Mad Men, but I am ever so intrigued by the premise of the show and of course - the fashion (see below for my Mad Men inspired look)!  This show reeks of sex appeal due to the actors on it - January Jones, John Hamm and Christina Hendricks to name a few. The show is set in 1960's Manhattan during the crazy, provocative and fast paced world of advertising.  I only caught a few episodes of the first season, but plan to watch season four in full!  Cant wait for July 25th!!

Precious Pointers

Lately I have been ogling over the stunning statement/cocktail rings that seem to be plastered all over my favorite magazines!  I love big, goddy rings because they add personality to the simplest ensemble.  Your look instantly goes from average to inspired!  I personally like wearing larger rings on my pointer finger. Here is a little collection of some that I feel I just can't live without!  Which is your fav?
