House Pics of the Week!

I moved my little stool to live under my red lacquer console.  I think I like it there!  Seriously in need of a large rug for this room - any suggestions??  Everything I like is like $4,000!!  Figures.

The mantle looks a bit haphazard at the moment.  I need to find a cool piece of art to put here.  On another note, I'm loving my little pink chairs - they're surprisingly super comfy.  Would you believe my husband was the one who found these?  He said they looked so "me".  Cute, right?!  I told him not to worry that I would find a way to add a bit more masculinity in this room...eventually...

Etsy Treasures

Love the little gold clocure and soft leather.

I discovered this Etsy shop the other day and I'm completely obsessed!  Sure I usually go for things that have some (for lack of a better word) "flair", but every once in awhile I can't seem to resist something super classic, clean and timeless. That is exactly what Harlex is all about.  These beautifully hand-crafted leather goods (most can be personalized) would be the perfect gift or little treat for yourself!  I've got my eye on the envelope clutch, leather pouch bag, and personalized camera neck strap.  Love them all!

Make me Up

I have a fun post planned for next week involving makeup - can't wait to share with you!  My current makeup regime is forever changing.  It depends on my mood, skin condition, outfit...the list goes on.  Lately my go to look has been a super dewy glow (which I get from my moisturizer), concealer, a soft dusting of bronzer on my t-zone and cheeks, a light shimmery gold shadow, black mascara (no eyelash curler) and a swipe of a bright lipstick - either an orange-y red or shocking pink.  It's the perfect daytime look and makes you appear healthy and awake (even if you don't feel awake!). What is your makeup regime?  Are you a natural makeup girl, glamour girl, or chameleon?

Tech Chic

Currently I have a basic black, nylon laptop case that is terribly boring.  When I go "off-site" to blog, I'm embarrassed to carry it into the cutsie coffee shops I frequent.  I desperately need something fun, yet functional.  I'm thrilled designers are now offering super chic laptop, ipad and iphone cases and covers. Trying to choose one of the below...I'm leaning towards the pretty blush colored metallic-y one (top left), but it doesn't have handles, so my next choice would be the Marc one...hmmm.

Dress to Impress

I discovered these special dresses while perusing the ASOS website yesterday.  I'm obsessed with each one for many reasons, but mostly love them because they don't look like anything I currently have in my closet.  The best part?  They are all under $200.00!  Question is, which one do I buy??

Our new Barcelona chair and a little succulent found at Trader Joe's.  I love the bright minty color - the best part?  You don't have to water it often!

New cushy white upholstered chair with brass nail heads (another inexpensive find!) 

Tangled wood sculptures found at Scott's Antique Market over the weekend.  I love the texture these create.  I'd love to hang one over a bed.  It reminds me of the decor at The Tides in Miami - natural and raw, but somehow modern.

What I Want Now:

I'm back!  I've had to take a bit of a blogging hiatus over the past week or so.  It's been absolutely crazy ever since we moved into the new house!  I'm glad to be back and have (what I think) are some fun posts coming up.  For now, a lil round up of some things I am dying to put in the pad.  JP and I have done WAY more shopping in the past week than I ever thought we would right away, but we've found some really good deals and are very pleased with our finds.  More to come on those later this week! 

We actually purchased the sofa pictured above over the weekend - I'm really anxious for it to arrive!  It's very comfy, but has nice clean lines.  I have multiple lanterns pictured above because we have this great tree that sort of acts as a canopy on our deck over the outdoor dining table.  I need a collection of lanterns to hang on the tree above.  It will act as a little canopy/light source when we dine al fresco.
